Personal Note:
Anna grew up in Orlando.  She attended Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, where she earned a joint Bachelor of the Arts degree in Sociology and Religion.  During her time in Atlanta, she taught children at an autism resource center and volunteered in local schools with AmeriCorps.

Ms. Cowan attended law school at the University of Florida, where she graduated in 2007.  While in law school, she served as a Certified Legal Intern for the university’s Juvenile Clinic.  She received the Book Award for the top performance in the Clinic.  Ms. Cowan also contributed to a published report for the University of Florida Center on Children and Families examining shackling practices in juvenile courts.

Anna is a member of First Presbyterian Church of Orlando, where she volunteers with high school girls.  She enjoys serving the Central Florida community as a disability attorney.
