My husband a Vietnam war veteran died in 1997 of colon cancer. Just before he died he filed a claim with the V.A. but was denied. In 2001 I filed a claim and again the V.A. denied my claim. They said that colon cancer was not associated with agent orange. In October of 2015, I filed again, I was able to reopen my case. Once again I was denied. I checked out several attorneys, via the internet, that handle disability claims for veterans. I was very impressed with Mr. Matthew Hill of Hill and Ponton, P.A. I contacted him in March of 2016. He helped me with my case. By March of 2017 I was awarded a large sum of money. Mr Hill was able to get me retroactive benefits from the year 2001 to the present. Plus I will receive a monthly pension check for the rest of my life. I highly recommend Matthew Hill to anyone looking for an attorney. He is awesome.
