I was in the Marine Corps from Jan 1965 – Aug 1971, as an O311 with tours in Vietnam and wounded three times. I started dealing with the VA around 1985 only to get nowhere, so after 6 to 8 years I walked away. A few years went by and I started over. I went to the DAV and at first, they did get me somewhere and to the help I needed. Years went by with very little progress made on my case. In Sept 2015 I was told about Hill & Ponton law firm and called to set up a meeting. Two days later Hill & Ponton agreed to take on my case. Amanda Martin was my case manager and worked with me to the end. Amanda always had time to answer my questions and I had a lot of them. After a while, Amanda could tell I was having a bad time with it and would tell me to hang in there as the team had my back. Well about 22 months later, one night around 2200 the phone rang and it was Mrs. Ponton to tell me it was over and we had won. I would hope that any vet who is having a hard time with their claim at the VA to call Hill & Ponton. They know what to do, but more than that they do it.
