Carol was born in Washington, D.C. She taught school before deciding to become a lawyer. After working for one of the major law firms in Orlando, she took a job working for a local federal judge in Orlando. In that job, she learned how the Social Security System worked by handling the appeals of disabled workers. After leaving the federal judge, she opened her own law practice. In that practice she learned of veterans being denied their VA benefits and in the early 1990s began representing them in their claims against the government. She has been working for veterans and for disabled workers ever since.
Carol is our senior partner in the area of Veterans Law and Social Security Disability. She is directly involved in representing veterans in the Regional Office, the BVA and beyond. In the Social Security section she works to make sure that all of our cases are properly prepared, by reviewing the cases which are coming up for hearing and offering advice to our lawyers and case managers based on her thirty years of experience. While she no longer handles individual hearings, she continues to be our firm’s main social security resource.
Carol has five children and ten grandchildren. She lives with her husband, Brian Hill, in Orlando, Florida.
