Crows Naval Auxiliary Landing Field
Base Background
Crows Naval Auxiliary Landing Field, established in 1943, is located 1.2 miles northwest of Crows Landing, California. Originally an auxiliary air station for NAS Alameda, it was used for U.S. Navy fighter pilot training. Now known as NASA Crows Landing Airport, the site is heavily contaminated with PFAS due to the use of firefighting foam (AFFF). Veterans stationed at Crows NALF who are experiencing health issues related to toxic exposure may be eligible for VA benefits or compensation.
