Base Background

The United States Navy commissioned the Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow in 1942 as a depot. The base is made up of three parts, including the Yermo and Nebo Annexes. MCLB Barstow has grown to be the second-largest employer in the area. The main mission of the site is to support the U.S. Marine Corps and Army. This includes maintaining and storing supplies, as well as providing training and educational services.
