Base Background

Camp Rapid is an installation of the South Dakota Army National Guard. The base originally started as a SDARNG summer encampment in the early 20th century, but it became a permanent installation in the 90’s. West Camp Rapid includes a variety of training facilities, such as obstacle courses.
